Installation of a double unwinding stand

For a Hungarian company, we installed a double unwinding stand twice. The problem was with the complicated mounting of the roll on the mechanical adapter and also with the fact that the roll did not hold, moved sideways along the shaft and the tension could not be properly regulated. Due to the high-tech production of carbon plates, this caused quality problems and confusion for the company.

After analyzing the situation, we designed a complete structure that can be installed on the existing frame of the machine, so we replaced it piece by piece and thus did not interfere with the structure of the machine. We installed pneumatic clamping shafts that held the roll firmly in place and prevented lateral movement. An electromagnetic brake was installed in the axis with precise tension control by strain gauges.
